Privacy Policy

This policy explains what FirstVane collects through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It covers business contact information you submit to us. It does not describe the separate commercial data products we license to our customers.

Notice at collection

Given at the point of collection, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100(b)).

• Categories collected: identifiers and professional information — your name, company name, business phone number, business email address, trade, the market you serve, the number of crews or trucks you operate, and where you currently source leads.
• Purpose: to check territory availability, to respond to your enquiry, and to contact you about the services you asked about.
• Sold or shared: No. We do not sell or share this information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
• Retention: as described under "How long we keep it" below.
• Sensitive personal information: we do not collect any.

What we collect

Only what you type into our contact form: full name, company name, phone number, email address, trade, market served, crew or truck count, and your current lead source. We also record the time of submission and a basic anti-spam signal to stop automated abuse.

We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, government identifiers, or any personal financial information through this website.

Why we collect it

• To check whether the territory you named is still available.
• To call or email you back about your enquiry.
• To keep a record of who asked about which market, so we don't offer the same territory twice.

We do not use it for anything else, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

We do not sell or share your information

We have not sold or shared the personal information collected through this website in the preceding twelve months, and we do not do so now. Because we do not sell or share it, no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism is required. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect and the required link will be provided.

Who we use to run the service

We use a small number of service providers, each only to operate this website and our email. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

• Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
• Resend — delivering your form submission to our inbox.
• Zoho Mail — our business email.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking. We do not run analytics or advertising pixels on this site. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives the request as an ordinary web request; no cookie is set by us for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for up to 24 months so we can manage territory availability and follow up. If you become a customer, we keep the records for as long as your subscription is active and then as required for tax and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it;
• Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — not applicable here, because we do not sell or share it;
• Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any right, email sales@firstvane.com with the word "Privacy" in the subject line. We will verify your request by replying to the email address or calling the phone number you originally gave us, and will respond within 45 days.

Security

Submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and delivered to a password-protected business mailbox. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This is a business-to-business service and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
